UPI News Update-May 15, 2026: June Meeting Agenda, Events and Program-Projects Updates, Advisory Board & Committee List, UPI-Community Partners Free Membership, and Upcoming Events
Dear UPI Team, Valued Supporters, and Friends,
May is always a meaningful month—filled with celebration, remembrance, and community spirit. From AAPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month to Mother’s Day and Memorial Day, we honor the people and traditions that shape our shared experience.
As we look ahead, UPI and our community partners have a full calendar of activities. Our next UPI General Meeting is on Sunday, June 7, 2026, where we’ll discuss the Dance‑A‑Thon, our October daytime gala, updates on guest attendance, and the status of our Trade Scholarship recipients. Please review the attached agenda and flyers.
We will also go over the Advisory Board and committee roles for the 2027–2030 term. Current members may request to continue, and all members are welcome to express interest in open positions. Please see the attached list for additional information.
In addition, we’ll introduce a new initiative to strengthen collaboration with our partner organizations by offering free UPI membership to their members in good standing.
Community partners also have exciting events coming up:
June 6 – MSDC 50th Anniversary & Miss MSDC Coronation. Please see the attached sample ticket for more information.
June 12 – Buy Filipino Network Foundation Kalayaan Pista (Free Admission). Please see the attached flyer for details.
